Welcome to the Northern League Forum

The Northern Region Football League (NRFL) involves clubs from the upper half of New Zealand's North Island (involving the three northern federations: Northern Football, Auckland Football and Waikato Bay of Plenty Football). Without question, the NRFL is the strongest club league in New Zealand.

What's new...

FACEBOOK PAGE
We have established a Facebook pace for those who are social media inclined. You'll find it at facebook.com/NorthernLeagueForum. One (hopefully interesting) thing we plan on using this page for is updates of the matches we'll be attending over the course of the season.

BLOG
We've just launched a football media site (basically, a blog) that will be associated with this website. You can click the BLOG tab in the menu or go to thematamatabus.com.

LINKS
The LINKS pages has been updated to include a social media directory. Clearly, this is not as complete as we'd like, so if your club's Facebook, Twitter or YouTube link is missing please contact us and we'll update the page.

CLUBS
Click on the CLUBS link to view our new Club Notices pages. With 400-500 visits a day (and about 1500 page views a day) we believe this site can be a useful tool in helping clubs spread the word. Please contact us if you'd like to post a message on this page.

RESULTS
Click on the MATCH DAY link for up to date results once the season begins.

THE NAME

We've called this site the Northern League Forum for ease of use and identification. Ask just about anyone and that's what they'll call the NRFL - the Northern League. This is, without question, an historical hangover, but not, we believe, a major one. And besides, Northern League Forum feels easier to use and runs off the tongue a little nicer than a slightly different moniker such as NRFL Forum.
